The Nutcracker Ballet From Russia

My sister has informed me that The Nutcracker Ballet which is Russia’s best ballet troupe will be touring the United States at the end of the year and one of the cities they are scheduled to perform is in Memphis, Tennessee. My sister lives just a couple of hours’ drive from Memphis and she can’t wait to go for an entertaining night out with her fiance.

When we were kids, we were very envious of our cousin, Jasmine. She gets to study ballet at a top dance school in town while we were not able to because dancing is a hobby that our parents could ill afford. Until today, we still love watching ballet and the gracefulness of the ballet performers.

Now that the very famous nutcracker ballet from Moscow, Russia, is going to perform at her doorstep, well, almost, no way is she going to pass up this chance. She says this is the next best thing to going to Russia to watch!

She said that it will be a wonderful opportunity for her to wind down. She said that she works hard and needs the break once in a while, so this two hour drive to watch the Nutcracker Ballet would be a welcome trip away.

USA Network’s Burn Notice – Premieres 28 June

Have you heard about USA Network’s Burn Notice series that will be premiering on June 28th? I am very excited about it and I bet you are too if you like to watch good looking guys touting guns. I remember watching similar series back in the old days but this one has Jeffrey Donovan!!

In Burn Notice, Jeffrey Donovan, who stars as CIA agent, Michael Westen, suddenly received a “burn Notice” which means he is suddenly deemed unreliable and dismissed.

As an outcast and with no help available to him, Michael Westen has to reliable on his own skills learnt during his CIA days to uncover the truth behind his sudden termination and the people involved.

Imagine this scenario. Michael Westen, the rising star of the CIA, is too good looking that his superior felt threaten because the wife fell for him. So the superior cooked up a story that Michael is in fact a bisexual because he was afraid of losing his wife to a more capable and good looking man.

Meanwhile, Michael does not know about it although many of his colleagues started to look at him funny. CIA agents normally do not hang out together after work but this treatment is worse.

Finally, he was given the burn notice because the CIA decided that they have n place for a bisexual!

Checking Out Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo’s DVD Vol. 2

It’s 5am over here and I am still up because I am watching the newly released Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo’s DVD Vol 2. If you have watched the first edition, you will know that this is the highly anticipated follow up.

I went to the Official Website daily waiting for news of this release and here I am, watching it and trying not to laugh aloud!

If you have watched the Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo anime before, you will know that this is a story of a guy with six feet long steel nose hair that he uses to beat the baddies. If you haven’t watched it before, I am sorry for scaring you! You may think what am I talking about a guy with power in his nose hair?

Well, watch Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo and expect to be blown away with oddball humor. Sometimes you just think that it is too outrageous, to insane to be believable and one obviously can’t get away with these things in real life but they never failed to make me laugh!

This DVD is released by Illumitoon and there are four episodes in the DVD. The funny thing is that the titles referenced FOOD. There’s Pasta… The Perfect Food!, Queen Chicken Level and the Video Store of Dumb and also We All Scream for Ice Cream! My, I am hungry already!

You may think that this anime is so childish but I bet that you will enjoy it along with your kids. Let your ~~nose~~ hair down and just enjoy the parody and jokes!
