Zedge: Freebies For Your Cell Phone

Some of you may know that I recently bought a smart phone. Of course, it is only natural that I have been interested in all the websites that allow us to customize our cell phones.

Zedge is really a website with a difference. It does not only allow us to download free wallpapers, ringtones, themes, picture messages, videos, mobile games and many more but it also allows us to create our very own logos, ringtones, messages, screensavers, wallpaper and many more.

On top of that, Zedge members are a very friendly bunch and they like sharing their artistic work. Once you have registered with Zedge, you can join the Zedge community freely. If you have created any of the above, you also can upload them to the website to share with other members. Don’t you just love seeing your work on another cell phone?

One thing though, make sure that your cell phone is compatible!

The rate of people getting cosmetic surgery and other image lifting procedure is rather alarming. It is like a trend now or a social status for some people. Actually, the way I see it, if cosmetic surgery can make people feel good about themselves physically or psychologically, then I am all for it.

I do believe that anyone who is thinking of going under the knife should be thoroughly informed of what is involved in a surgery and its associated risks.

I understand that there are times when our doctors are not able to spare us the time to answer our questions or alleviate our doubts. That is why I am always looking for answers on the internet. However, I believe that we should only obtain expert advice and not just from any “authority”.

In one of my previous posts, I was talking about going on a vegetarian diet. Coincidentally, I stumbled upon this great website that has a wealth of recipe information on cooking vegetarian dishes. VegCooking, as it is called, also has a TV program, and it has plenty of recipes to help people make a smooth transition to an exclusive vegetarian diet.

While I do not normally have time to cook, when I do take the trouble, I would still want something that is simple to cook and not take up too much time. Checking out sites like VegCooking has helped me to expand my recipe database and it is most useful when I am in the mood to cook.

I may not be a pure vegetarian but there are days when I observe a vegetarian diet and the recipes here sure come in handy.

Free Pet Style T-Shirt

A couple of days ago, I got myself a free customized t-shirt and suddenly became obsessed with FREE T-SHIRTS. I searched all over the internet and chanced upon this free t-shirt from Pet Style.

According to the website, only new registrants from 27th July, 2007 to 9th August, 2007 will qualify for a t-shirt, as shown in the picture, or while stocks last. Unfortunately, this special offer is only available for US residents. While I normally only like to feature international freebies, I am a pet lover and this is a great site.

Moreover, this site has many free and cute animal ecards. These animal cards are of real animal pictures, which I like. Check them out, and send me one? 😀

CliffsNotes Free Study Guides

First of all, you may be wondering what are CliffsNotes. Well, these are actually study guides designed to help students learn and absorb their lessons better. I am sure we all have gone through school and have found some difficulty in certain subjects but by using CliffsNotes, it is the fastest way to learn.

When I was a student, I realized that the best way for me to learn was when the lessons were presented in short summaries. I could absorb them better if they were presented in list form. I am not sure if I was the only one, but long paragraphs of text bore me and put me to dreamland faster than ever.

CliffsNotes come in many topics and subjects and they are all free to read up on from the website. However, you could also purchase it in book form or in a .pdf file. Even though I am no longer a student, I find joy in reading literature. There are almost 200 titles there! Check them out.

I actually found this website very interesting because I really admire people who could create amazing craft work. Well, I can sew a little but absolutely have no passion for it.

This website, free appliqué, allows people to download appliqué pattern for their quilts, crafts and clipart and many more. There are so many patterns available that it is really up to your imagination how to make the best out of the patterns.

Apart from the free appliqué patterns, you can also get free baby quilt patterns or get ideas for your craft projects. Some people I know find crafting and quilting really therapeutic. As for me, I get all stressed out trying to get the perfect stitch! Well, I think I better not make any myself and resolve to just admire the work of others!
