Free Recipe Videos

A friend of mine is learning how to cook so I handed her a couple of my recipe books. These are recipes that I have collected over the years and painstakingly pasted into books. You know, last time we did not have access to the internet so this was the best I could do. I also showed her my recipe collection blog.

My friend reverted to me and said that she is lazy to learn if she has to read and read. She is more a visual person so I guess she would learn better by watching videos, which led me to discover this website called YouTube Delicious for her.

Be warned, this website is ad intensive. However, if you focus on the videos, you should do fine. There are quite a few wonderful video recipes and would be well worth your visit if you just tread carefully.

Free Fresh WordPress Themes

A blogger friend asked me if I have a good source for new WordPress themes. Frankly, it has been such a long time since I searched for WordPress themes, I am sure there are so many new ones already, so I wasn’t able to help her much. She has close to fifty blogs so it is going to take her a loooong time to search for free WordPress themes, install and customize them!

Anyway, I had a little free time today, so I decided to help her out and have the luck to come across this website, Free ThemeLayouts, which has three pages full of quality WordPress themes. I am interested in some of them as well but have yet to download any because selecting the best is going to be difficult!

You know, for a themes website, it is pretty disappointing that they do not have their own logo. So I am making do with what I could. Hop over to Free ThemeLayouts now and see what they have to offer, that is, if you do have a WordPress blog!

Wow, I didn’t realise that it has been a week since I last updated this blog. Has it been that long already? SIGH, guess I procrastinated yet again. Tee hee! But worry not! Today, I am bringing you something awesome, a little controversial but heh… it’s not like I have never been controversial before.

Free Summer Turkey Recipes

A friend told me that she is not ready for winter yet. I was like, “What? Autumn isn’t here yet. And in fact, summer isn’t over yet. There’s still another month to go!” Well, this would not hold water if you live in a tropical country or the southern hemisphere, though. Tee hee!

Anyway, that gave me an idea to look for summer recipes. There is still another month of summer so let’s ENJOY it, right? Now is definitely not the time to think about autumn or winter yet!

I found Butterball website, a turkey company that has a very good range of free turkey summer recipes. I’m not a creative cook, I must say, so any graphical recipe with easy to follow instructions would be most helpful. Butterball has them. Check the website out yourself.

Free Whitney Houston I Look To You Download

Aren’t I happy to learn that Whitney Houston is offering a free download of her latest single, I Look To You. Well, I grew up listening to her and even though I am not an ardent fan of hers, I still love listening to her powerful vocals. It has been some time since Whitney Houston has an album out so this is really a great welcome to her fans.

Oh, yes, even though I am not a great fan, you can bet that I would be downloading her free song. Why wouldn’t I? It’s free, it’s Whitney Houston! I would be dumb not to, when it’s legal. I could sync it to my iPhone. It’s always hungry for new music, the legal ones!

Free Vector Art, Vector Graphics & Backgrounds

OMG, look what I found! This website is so cute, I really cannot not feature them! If you love vectors, this is the website to look. It’s called Vector Jungle and they offer free vectors, vector art, vector graphics and backgrounds. And they are of the highest quality too.

I am blown away by the creativity of these designers. I can’t begin to wonder how they could be so generous in giving these away. I guess artists derive satisfaction in knowing that people are using their work and know how to appreciate their designs.

Right now, there are not that many vector sets but you can still easily search for what you want from the various categories. At this point they are growing, this is a good site to bookmark and visit regularly.

Air Asia Air Ticket Sale

One thing I hate is misleading advertising. So my friend showed me an advertisement this morning from a local travel company which excitedly says that Air Asia is giving away 3,000,000 free air tickets at midnight today. But they also mentioned that this is going to be better than FREE.

I was excited too but when I went to the website of Air Asia to check,. What could be better than free? It turns out that Air Asia is “just” running an air ticket SALE and they are definitely not giving away 3,000,000 air tickets for free. Well, they do give away free air tickets but not this time around!

Anyway, if you are planning to fly somewhere in a few month’s time, it’s probably a good idea to check out what Air Asia has to offer midnight later. I expect tickets to go not as fast as those free tickets but then it is still wise to start planning where you want to go already and when.
