Those who know me know that I am an animal lover. However, I feel as if keeping pets is never enough. I hope that one day, I could involve myself further with an animal shelter or organization.

Anyway, this morning, while searching for desktop wallpapers since I want something new to replace my Emily Strange desktop wallpaper which I have used for more than six months now, I came across this selection of wildlife desktop wallpapers from World Wildlife Fund.

Heh… there are so many nice ones that it’s difficult to decide which to use. But to download any of these wildlife desktop wallpapers, you are required to register with the website first. It’s worth it, I tell you!

My friend was surprised to learn that I love listening to ROCKKKK! He asked me if I like Iron Maiden and I said I do. However, I am not such a huge fan that I would know every single track or collect their memorabilia. However, I did come across a website that offers free Iron Maiden desktop themes. I thought I’d share them on my blog.

This website is called Appleblossom Art. I guess the owner is a huge fan of Iron Maiden to have spent so much time working on these themes… but actually he/she has quite a collection of musician desktop themes from Alicia Keys to Jon Bon Jovi to Jennifer Lopez to Shakira. Haha!

Of course, what I mentioned here is just a fraction of what’s being offered for free on Appleblossom Art. Check out the site and see if they have what you are looking for!

Graphic & Illustrator Freebies From CreateSk8

For a website that offers free graphics and illustrator freebies, CreateSk8 oddly does not have a graphic heavy webpage layout. In fact, the layout is so plain that I do not even have a good header for my post!

That’s unimportant, though, because what is more important is the content. I tell you, I am highly impressed with these high quality graphics and illustrator freebies that CreateSk8 is giving away for free. Of course, they do offer premium stuff as well but if you are building a non-commercial project, these are good to go.

It is just too bad that although I know quality when I see it, I don’t have any creativity in even making the best use of these graphics and illustrator freebies. Gosh… why am I not born artistic at all? In any case, check these freebies out right now! You won’t regret it!

More often than not, when I come across websites that offer “free magazines”, I am most probably required to fulfill an offer or another. When I was informed of Real Man Magazine, I decided to check it out and to my delight, found that this is an online magazine which we could subscribe to for free with no strings attached. And no, we are not required to disclose our credit card number! Just enter our email address and we could download our very first copy of free Real Man Magazine already.

I have been searching for more ways to make money online and discovered that there are people making money off Twitter. I think that it’s awesome to be able to make some money doing what we love. And I believe many of us are addicted to Twitter, right? I tell you, with Twitter, I sort of cut down on my text messaging already. Saves me lots of money there!

Anyway, the first thing to do to make money off your Twitter, after creating an account, is to change your Twitter background. If you have Twitter, I am sure you know how limited their range of free background is. Worry not. TwitBacks has a good selection of backgrounds and themes that we could use; just change the text and font. I was searching for GIF files of fireworks for some blog posts this morning and I chanced upon these from Free Fever. These are free and we are allowed to download and use on non-commercial projects. I don’t know what happened but I was not able to use these GIF files somehow, so I deleted my downloaded files.

However, if you are looking for GIF firework files as well, do check out this selection from Free Fever. I am sure you would be able to find some use for them seeing that it’s New Year’s Eve today and there will be lots of little web projects to do to usher in the New Year, right?
