If you are a resident of the United Kingdom, then here’s good news for you. Know you I normally do not write about a competition that is only available for ONE country or ONE region but I try to only feature contests and freebies that are available to most people wherever they are.

Today, when my search for freebies brought me to the website of the UK-based Virgin Radio, I decided that I have to blog about them even though these competitions are only available for UK residents. Well, that’s because the prizes up for grabs fantastic.

Everyone around me is talking about Prince Caspian this, Narnia that. To be frank, I have no idea what the storyline is, let alone how good this movie is. Heh.. I know, I am behind time but then movies are at the bottom of my priority list right now!

Anyway, just now I stumbled upon this contest and I thought that it would be perfect for all fans of this Prince Caspian.

Tracksounds.com is running a movie caption contest so if you would like to participate and get a shot at the Prince Caspian soundtrack (CD, I guess) and the paperback book, you have to caption a scene provided from the film. This sounds pretty tough but if your entry is adjudged the best, then you win. That’s all there is to it.

This movie caption contest is only open to US residents so BAH! Anyway, caption contests are not my forte. Hehe!

Who s Ben’s brother? I have no idea. As a matter of fact, I have no idea who is Ben either.

Anyway, we don’t need to know all these stuff. What I am sure you will be interested to know if how you can win a song from Ben’s Brother, and I don’t mean just about any song that you can get if you buy their album BUT a song that is penned based on your life story.

Now, Ben’s Brother wants us to submit a story of our life on how we overcame challenges in a particularly trying time in our life. I am sure everyone has an awful experience like this and if you are reading this post, it means that you have overcome that challenge and survived.

Go ahead and let Ben’s Brother know about this story. If yours is chosen by Ben’s Brother’s lead singer, among all other entries, perhaps based on your ability to spin a story, or the one that moves him to the most tears of the one that is the easiest to come up with a song from, then you will get a song. It’s that simple.

I thought this was supposed to be a contest but they did not mention any terms or requirements or even when this “contest” ends so that they can start selecting the best story.

If this is your kind of contest, it is worth participating. As for me, I need to come up with a “story”.

This morning, as I was surfing the internet looking for information on something totally unrelated to Scotland travel, one link led me to another and I ended up on Visit Scotland. They are currently running a few very exciting contests, unfortunately none of which I could personally participate in.

However, I believe that someone reading this may be able to participate. If you are above eighteen years old and a legal resident of the UK, CI, IOM and the ROI, then you are eligible to participate.

This contest, in conjunction with Autumn, will see participants stand a chance to win a two night stay at Craigatin House & Courtyard in Pitlochry, Perthshire, Scotland. Upon arrival, the winner will also receive a SuperJam hamper.

I came upon this Sony Contest were they are giving away FOUR Sony HD HandyCams this September. There are three sections of questions where we have to answer correctly to have a decent shot at the prizes.

The questions, based on the four new Sony HD HandyCam models, are not difficult but could be tricky but that’s what the internet is for. Just Google for the answers

You will then be asked to select the model that you would like to win. Each model supports a different storage format, so you may want to read up on the pros and cons of each format first.

And then you will be asked to submit your personal particulars. I noticed that in the drop down menu for country of residence, not all countries are listed. And for once, residents of the United States are not eligible for the contest. I know not why.

Have you ever got a great idea for a computer game? It does not matter if it’s a puzzle or strategy game or whatever, as long as it is a game, Project Joystick would love to hear from you. The downside, this contest is only open to Australians.
