Although I bought a new Samsung SyncMaster 2043sw 20in Widescreen LCD a couple of months already, I have not found time to look for a nice desktop wallpaper for it and have only used the default Windows XP wallpaper. It’s kind of boring but then my desktop is always covered with my multiple browsers so I don’t get to look at it all that often.

Lately, I have been trying to find dark wallpapers for my desktop and somehow, found it difficult to look for widescreen desktop wallpaper with the resolution of 1600 X 900px. And then I realized that I have been using the wrong search term. LOL

Anyway, i finally found a site that offers free high definitely desktop wallpapers that I like so much, I grabbed more than a couple of wallpapers for my screen. Someone I know told me that the best lifestyle that he would like to have is to live in Sweden. I wondered why and he said that if I haven’t been there, I wouldn’t know. And indeed I don’t.

Searching the web for nature scenes of Sweden, I stumbled upon this free wallpaper website by Rolf. He is offering free desktop wallpapers, ecards and web graphics of Swedish nature. I definitely understand now why my friend would like to retire in Sweden, though he hates driving in snow.

Since I have been looking to change new wallpaper for my laptop, I took the chance to download a couple of freebies from Rolf’s website. I have to say that I am very impressed with the quality of images that are available on this website. Hopefully, more will be added soon!

Those who know me know that I am an animal lover. However, I feel as if keeping pets is never enough. I hope that one day, I could involve myself further with an animal shelter or organization.

Anyway, this morning, while searching for desktop wallpapers since I want something new to replace my Emily Strange desktop wallpaper which I have used for more than six months now, I came across this selection of wildlife desktop wallpapers from World Wildlife Fund.

Heh… there are so many nice ones that it’s difficult to decide which to use. But to download any of these wildlife desktop wallpapers, you are required to register with the website first. It’s worth it, I tell you!

It’s Valentine’s Day and what have I found for you? It’s Valentine’s Day screensavers and wallpaper from ScreenSavers.com, the leader in screensavers and desktop wallpapers!

What do I like about Valentine’s Day? It’s all the pink and red colours. I just love them. Personally, I do not use screensavers because I am ALWAYS required to look at the screen, there is no chance at all to use any screensavers.

However, I do change my desktop wallpaper regularly. Since my computer is switched on almost the whole day and night, I love sprucing up my desktop with a different image and surprise myself when I first turn on the computer monitor. Sometimes, I don’t even remember that I have new wallpaper, that’s why!

The only thing I do not like about downloading wallpaper from ScreenSavers.com is the toolbar they force us to install and a desktop shortcut to an affiliate. Aw… come on, I am sure they can provide these to us totally free?
