I came across this blog, Confetti by: Kateedyd earlier this morning but I thought I would write a post on the contest later in the evening and put in an entry myself. I came home from shopping and checked out the blog only to find that the closing date is actually today, 1st November 2008 at 12noon PST. I don’t know what time that will be in Malaysia, where I am but I am going to try to get an entry in, nevertheless.

Yesterday, I was just talking to a friend about the Apple iPhone that I won in a blog contest a few months ago and he asked me, “How come I never win anything?!?”

Well, many people have the misconception that they could win in contests just by not putting in the effort. It’s not true because first of all, if you are interested in participating in contests to win prizes, you will need to spare some time searching for contests or sweepstakes with interesting prizes.

To save time, what I do is to visit websites, blogs and forums that are specifically on contests, sweepstakes, freebies, giveaways, samples and deals. Well, just like my own blog. On one hand, I get to participate in all these contests and lucky draws and on the other hand, I get to share the information with readers of my two Freebie blogs.
