If you have been thinking of setting up an online store, and I know there are MANY people who would like to be a home-based worker, then perhaps this is what you have been looking for. 1 Free Cart is a website that helps you host your own online store, with PayPal and Google Analytics integration that functions fully for free.

The good thing about this is that it’s free, of course, and you need not have prior knowledge of coding, web development or installation of shopping cart. If you could maneuver your mouse, you can set up your online store within minutes.

The bad thing, as far as I could see, is that you will only be provided with a sub-domain name for your store and every free store will be laden with Google Ads which not only brings you no income but display advertisements that are your direct competition. If that’s still all right with you, then this is the right kind of online store for you.

Do take note, though, that although this store is free, you will be charged if you opt for added services or additional features.

While browsing the internet looking for free holiday recipes for my sister who has the unenviable task of hosting a couple of dinners next month for her friends and colleagues, I chanced upon this freebie from Betty Crocker.

This is a very cute, extremely appetizing calendar for next year, 2010. Boy, just another month and a New Year dawns on us. Isn’t that scary? I believe many of us would like to have this, though it is only valid for subscribers of the website (so go and sign up) and only for residents in the United States. Bah!

Quantities are limited and only one per household is allowed. Oh yes, one more thing, this offer expires on 31st December, 2009, so head over and request for your free Betty Crocker 2010 calendar. Do allow the standard 6 – 8 weeks for delivery.

First of all, I have to mention that I did not watch this Twilight Saga. I don’t like vampires, you see. But if you like it, or if your children, especially daughters, are driving you crazy with new Moon this and New Moon that, perhaps this is something that you could do for your daughters.

Blog hopping brought me to the website of Vale Design, a design freebie website owned by Erin Vale. Erin is a packaging and branding designer and she uses this website to promote her merchandise that she sells on Etsy.

However, Erin also offers plenty of free DIY printable stuff on this site from To-Do lists to notepads, cards, file folders, address labels, coloring pages, etc; just about anything that could be printed that you could think about.

Frankly, I am very tempted to print out her designs since I have a very good printer but I am thinking of the ink that I would be wasting. Good printers run on expensive ink! Wouldn’t it be cheaper to just BUY Erin’s products from her Etsy page? LOL Anyway let me know if you have found Erin’s designs useful.

Although I bought a new Samsung SyncMaster 2043sw 20in Widescreen LCD a couple of months already, I have not found time to look for a nice desktop wallpaper for it and have only used the default Windows XP wallpaper. It’s kind of boring but then my desktop is always covered with my multiple browsers so I don’t get to look at it all that often.

Lately, I have been trying to find dark wallpapers for my desktop and somehow, found it difficult to look for widescreen desktop wallpaper with the resolution of 1600 X 900px. And then I realized that I have been using the wrong search term. LOL

Anyway, i finally found a site that offers free high definitely desktop wallpapers that I like so much, I grabbed more than a couple of wallpapers for my screen. I actually have known of Coldplay’s freebie offer of a downloadable live album called Left Right Left Right Left a long time ago but somehow forgotten to blog about this freebie. I remembered only when a friend shared his video with me that he uploaded to YouTube. I checked my download of Left Right Left Right Left and was horrified to discovered that it was months ago!

Anyway, I checked the website of Coldplay and am glad to know that this freebie is still available so it’s still not too late. Many people are confused with the genre of music that Coldplay plays. I will say that they are Alternative/Soft Rock, but I may be wrong.

Take a listen to this album and decide for yourself. The following tracks are on the live album, which I understand that copies of it are also given away to concert goers until the end of the year.

Cute Twitter Backgrounds

I don’t even use Twitter that much and even if I do, it’s via my mobile phone or iPhone and I don’t use the Standard view so I cannot see the background or colour of my profile. I use Twitter primarily to feed my Facebook status but I do sometimes log into my Twitter account via the computer.

I did this morning and out of boredom, decided to change the background of it. I did a search for cute Twitter backgrounds and came upon this website called, what else but Cute Backgrounds, and seriously, I love so many of them I decided to feature the website on my blog.

I have to admit though, that although I now have a new background for my Twitter profile, I did not grab the background from Cute Backgrounds. My background is also cute but I got it from a sister site of Cute Backgrounds. Perhaps I will feature them next. Stay tuned.
