I came across this blog, Confetti by: Kateedyd earlier this morning but I thought I would write a post on the contest later in the evening and put in an entry myself. I came home from shopping and checked out the blog only to find that the closing date is actually today, 1st November 2008 at 12noon PST. I don’t know what time that will be in Malaysia, where I am but I am going to try to get an entry in, nevertheless.

While randomly hopping from one website to another looking for something interesting to write about, yes, there’s plenty of research to do to run blogs, especially freebie blogs, you know, I chanced upon these freebie offers from Hybrid Magazine.

These “Madagascar! at the Bronx Zoo” freebies are given away in conjunction with the “Madagascar! at the Bronx Zoo” exhibition at the Lion House by the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS). Tickets have to be purchased from BronxZoo.com directly.

However, to stand a chance to win “Madagascar! at the Bronx Zoo” freebies, which includes a tote bag, Bronx Zoo t-shirt, embroidered baseball cap and stadium blanket, check out the video on Hybrid Magazine and fill in the form provided on the page with your particulars. This contest looks like it’s available worldwide. I am not sure but there’s no harm trying. Send in your entries latest by 30th September, 2008. Only one entry per household is eligible.

I remember writing about Mom Central a little while back. It’s a community and resource website for mothers and mothers-to-be. I don’t hang out there because I am not a mother (yet) LOL but I have good news for you.

Just now, while looking for freebies for this blog, I chanced upon this very interesting freebie. It’s a SWIMMING POOL! Summer is just around the corner, who would not like a swimming pool in the backyard, right? I think that it is pretty innovative of them to give away something as useful as a swimming pool and at the right time too!

Zippo is a highly popular lighter brand name that even a non-smoker like me knows. What makes Zippo so popular, I do not know, though. Is it the design? Is it the material? Is it because it’s windproof? I don’t know but I do know that there are people who are crazy enough about Zippo to collect them! While some of us collect stamps, coins or QSL cards, there are others who collect Zippo lighters LOL

Zippo is giving away four free lighters every month until 2010 for promotional purposes. Each Zippo lighter that is given away will be engraved with a web address that everyone could see when you take your Zippo lighter out.

I was delighted to note that author Lori Handeland’s monthly contests have no country limitations and I checked the winners’ list and true enough, I see winners from Australia, Canada, Finland and even South Africa!
