Create Instant Polaroid Effects On Your Photos

A couple of days ago, I received a message from Maurice Sikkink, Lead Developer at Rollip.com, who introduced me to the website where we can create instant Polaroid effects on our digital photos. When I was in school, one of the items that was on my wish list was a Polaroid camera but I never got around to buying one. It looks like with Rollip.com, I don’t need a real Polaroid camera anymore!

I tested out what Rollip.com has to offer and used this photo of Kevin Cheng to test. I am suffering from Kevin Cheng fever now and have been watching his old TVB dramas consecutively from Hard Fate to The Seventh Day to Under The Canopy of Love and am currently watching Life Art so it’s no wonder that I have his photo on my desktop. LOL

I have enclosed the two Before & After photos of Kevin Cheng so you can compare the original photo with the one with Polaroid effect. According to Maurice, images that users upload to Rollip.com are not stored on their servers so if you would like to share your image, use the link provided or just save the image to your computer and upload it elsewhere, like I have done.

One thing with Rollip.com is that it’s quite addictive but don’t worry, it’s free to use so you can play with as many images and the various Polaroid effects as many times as you wish!

My friend was supposed to buy me a copy of Photoshop from the capital city but until today, months after promising me that he would, I have yet to receive it. I think it would be easier for me to grab free brushes on the internet that to get my hands on my own Photoshop and then learning to use it!

This morning, I chanced upon this website called 123 Free Brushes which offers a total of over 1200 quality brushes for free download. I have browsed though a few pages and I have to say that the quality brushes available on this free stock brush website are very impressive.

Although there are over 1200 free brushes, searching for one to meet your needs shouldn’t be too difficult. Just decide the kind of brushes that you would like to view then select the appropriate category in the drop down menu.

Free Twitter Backgrounds

Although I registered Twitter a long time ago, I think it was almost as soon as Twitter was launched, I have to say that my account is totally under utilized. However, lately, I started using Twitter, and because I use Facebook more than Twitter, I feed my Twitter updates to my Facebook status. I know some people hate this but these are my accounts and I do what I like with them, within the boundaries of law, of course.

I have been using one of the ready made Twitter backgrounds all these while but I have been thinking that since I use Twitter more, it is time to customize it. I really have no idea how many people visit my Twitter page, since if you follow me, you don’t even have to go to my page to read my updates, right?

Anyway, chanced upon this website called My Tweet Space which allows us to generate and customize our own Twitter background for free. They have quite a few quality twitter backgrounds to select from but to get started you would have to register with the website first to use their tools.

Free One-Page Quick Collage Scrapbook Layouts

Although I am not a scrapbook hobbyist, my sister is. One of her major problems is how and where to start a new layout. Well, when she asks me, I have no idea too even though I browse through many scrapbooking websites since I love the freebies that they offer.

One website that I found really helpful for people like my sister is Scrapbooks etc. which offers free one-page quick collage scrapbook layouts. There are a total of 35 different layouts that we could download and use easily.

What I like is that besides offering these freebies to us, there is also a quick guide on how the layouts were used so that we have a better idea on how to make use of the layouts for our own needs. Of course we could make changes and improvise if we are creative enough but if not, these layouts would still turn out great if we use them as is. Enjoy!

Although I have featured quite a few websites that offer free coloring sheets for children, I don’t think I have written about My Coloring World before. At least I don’t remember doing so and the website does not look familiar to me at all. If I have already written about it before, then I apologize. However, I am sure there would be new content on the site already since!

Quality Free & Easy WordPress Themes

Running a slew of WordPress blogs, I am always on the look out for free WordPress themes. If you know me, you will know that I am quite a fuss pot and want my themes to be “perfect”. Well, they may not be perfect in CSS language after I have modified them to my liking because I do not know CSS but as long as it appears live as I like it, I am happy.

I have been searching for a nice WordPress theme for my personal blog for the past couple of days and to my delight, found this website called EZwpthemes.com. I love all the themes that are in the Art category! I love vectors like these that make the theme informal and artistic. Too many times have I come across stiff and uninspiring themes!

I would love to change my theme right now but I have no idea how to modify these themes to accommodate my 125 X 125px ads that I currently have on my blog. If someone could kindly make that change for me, I would gladly update my blog with one of these free art WordPress themes!

Buy/Sell WOW & Aion MMORPG Accounts

I was telling a friend that I am becoming quite addicted to playing games on Facebook. She was aghast and said that Facebook games are not games and that I should try out real games like World of Warcraft and AION!

I do like MMORPG but the thought of leveling up my characters from scratch makes me think twice about playing.
