I stumbled upon this website called Precious Metal Shop which is giving away two vials of gold every month to two winners: One vial per winner. Gold is expensive stuff and in this case, it’s 24K gold. Although the vials of gold looks pretty large, I think the real vials will not be that large but still, it’s GOLD.

To win, you will have to leave a comment at their site and you will be automatically entered into the draw. Each month, the drawing will be held on the first of the month while the winner will be contacted on the 5th of the month.

You will have to do this every month to be eligible to be entered every month. Your entry will not be carried forward, too bad, but the good news is that this seems to be open to everyone. I see a past winner from Germany, so YAY!

Submit Your Site To A Free Web Directory

Every webmaster knows that the more backlinks we get for our website or blog, the better it is in terms of search engine ranking and potential rise in PageRank. However, do keep in mind that only relevant backlinks on quality sites matter so you should be careful where you place them!

As a webmaster myself, I prefer to get my links listed in quality web directories that are search engine friendly. You can get your links out by leaving comments on the blogs of other bloggers but there’s no guarantee that these comments that you have spent so much time writing will be published by the bloggers. It is their prerogative, anyway!

Submitting your sites to web directories, on the other hand, is easier in the sense that as long as you have a legitimate site, relevant to the category you are submitting to and meet the basic requirement of the directory, then you are guaranteed one backlink.

As for me, I am sure you know that I love free stuff. I will never want to pay to be listed on a web directory so I will only submit to a web directory for free. Why pay when you can get similar quality backlink on a free web directory, right?

DirMania is a fast growing free web directory that is accepting submissions of sites from webmasters. There is a huge list of categories that you can place your relevant blog or website. Check it out. No matter what people say about websites not getting any benefit from online directories, it is not true. Try submitting your links to as many quality directories are possible and you will see a difference.

While I may not have children, most of my friends are already parents. Actually, it is quite scary seeing how much trouble they get into trying to raise the children right but luckily, modern times come with access to modern ways of bringing up the children and things are not as difficult as it was during our grandparents’ and parents’ time!

A week ago, I came across this offer of a free potty training DVD by PULL-UPSÂ®. See, even for potty training, you need to watch a DVD. I don’t know how well it works or if it is really necessary but it looks like something fun to get your hands on, if you have children that age learning to use the potty.

Unfortunately, this offer is only valid for residents of the United States and Canada. The rest of the world is left out AGAIN!

I love checking out new games site. While Apple Cart Games is not a new games site or did I just discover it, I have not featured it before. I realise that there are quite a number of people who come to my blog looking for free games to play. I thought that perhaps free web-based games on Apple Cart Games may be interesting enough!

On Apple Cart Games, you can play simple online games or online multi-player games. If you do not mind, you can also download the games. However, downloaded games are only trial versions unless you pay for an upgrade. Are you willing to pay $19.99 for a full version game? I am not because I have better things to do with that money LOL

Besides games, you can also watch videos for free. Now, I do not see the connection between games and videos unless they are video games but then you can find these videos on Apple Cart Games. I think these are supposed to be funny videos.

It’s A Contest Blog!

Yesterday, I was just talking to a friend about the Apple iPhone that I won in a blog contest a few months ago and he asked me, “How come I never win anything?!?”

Well, many people have the misconception that they could win in contests just by not putting in the effort. It’s not true because first of all, if you are interested in participating in contests to win prizes, you will need to spare some time searching for contests or sweepstakes with interesting prizes.

To save time, what I do is to visit websites, blogs and forums that are specifically on contests, sweepstakes, freebies, giveaways, samples and deals. Well, just like my own blog. On one hand, I get to participate in all these contests and lucky draws and on the other hand, I get to share the information with readers of my two Freebie blogs.

However, this Contest Blog is displayed perfectly in Safari and FireFox. As a webmaster, it is my habit to check websites with the four major web browsers as I want them to look â€œperfectâ€.

Free Apple iPhone Wallpapers

It has been a long time since I wrote a post on Apple iPhone wallpaper site. However, I thought that I have already found all there is to find and I thought that it’s high time I make my own iPhone wallpapers BUT I have been thoroughly busy and am not able to make full use of my of my domain name!

Anyway, about a week ago, while looking for Pink iPhone themes and wallpapers, I stumbled upon AppleWallpaper.net. Yes, they do have Pink wallpaper for my iPhone but I haven’t downloaded it yet. Lazy, lah!

If you are also always on the look out for free iPhone wallpapers and do not know how to make your own, then perhaps you may want to check out this site. I haven’t even finished browsing what they have to offer.

Facesity Online Visual Directory

When I was told of this new website called Facesity this morning, all that comes to mind is that this is an online visual directory. While our conventional telephone directory consists of names and telephone numbers, Facesity has our photos linking to our web address. I sort of remember a similar avatar wall but this one is based on the city where we live or work.

Using Facesity is very simple. Go to http://www.facesity.com and you can see a large map of the USA. So right now, Facesity is only limited to cities in the United States.

Click on a specific city on the map and a tag cloud will appear on the sidebar. Just select the city that you are interested in and a page with photos of members will appear. Clicking on a photo will lead you to website of the person.

If you would like to appear on Facesity, just click on Add Face and full instructions are there. What you do is just fill out a short form and pay US$1 via PayPal to Facesity and submit your photo via email. The payment of US$1 is for your photo to be displayed for the lifetime of the website. This process of submission could be made more seamless if we have the ability to upload our photo along with the form, instead of emailing it separately.

I think that if you are interested in placing your photo on Facesity, do it early and place the largest, most interesting photo of yourself to get better prominence on the page of you selected city. Price of US$1 is the same for all four photo sizes, anyway.
