Win An iPod Touch A Week

Win an iPod a week

My sister tells me that almost everyone in the United States own one model of iPod or another. She, like me, is too cheap to buy her own and is planning to win it. If I could win an iPhone, why can’t she win an iPod touch?

This twitter page is giving away an iPod touch a week and all you need to do to stand a chance to win one of the weekly iPod touch given away is to follow them. So far, it looks like they have given away just one free iPod touch but at this time of writing, there are less than 300 followers only so chances are pretty high if you ask me.

Anyway, it looks to me that this giveaway is only open to residents of the United States. Guess my sister’s in luck!

Win One Year Free Domain

Ever since my WordPress hosted blogs were suspended three weeks ago due to server overload which caused my blogs to be offline, I have been looking for a new host. I shudder to think what would happen to my account if my post was on the front page of Digg.com!

As I was asking around for opinions of friends, coincidentally, I was informed of WordPress Blog Hosting services offered by Mulyoo. This is not your typical blog host like WordPress.com.

No doubt, Mulyoo blogs are also powered by WordPress but Mulyoo actually encourages bloggers to monetize their blogs and make money online. Moreover, Mulyoo uses BuddyPress to integrate social networking into blogs so that bloggers would quickly gain readership and followers. This is especially useful for people who are new to blogging.

Although new Mulyoo blogs are assigned subdomains, Mulyoo is currently running a contest where twenty lucky Mulyoo users who are subscribed to the annual plan will stand a chance to win a domain name for one year with NameCheap.

If you are planning to start a new blog, this is a very good chance to kill two birds with one stone. First of all, register with Mulyoo Hosting and select your subdomain. You will be able to easily create your blog within minutes and customize it from the thirty different blog templates to suit the niche of your blog.

Design Blurb Design Freebies

If you have been following my blog, you may remember that I wanted to start a website that offers free iPhone wallpapers. That never materialized. Basically, I just don’t have the time to take on another project and I have to admit that I am never creative enough to come up with something original, something good enough that people would want to download it!

Anyway, I was checking if there are new iPhone wallpapers offered online when I found Design Blurb. I believe I have not come across this design website before but I really like its header.

I haven’t finished going through the posts on this blog yet but so far, I can say that these freebies are all original works of Eli, as opposed to a bunch of freebies scoured and collected from all over the web.

Enjoy these freebies like I am enjoying Eli’s quality iPhone wallpapers. SIGH, do I even need to make my own??

Free Jolly Cook Recipes

My sister told me that she will be hosting a dinner over Memorial weekend. She is a little apprehensive since this will be her first formal dinner at her new home. She even had to buy brand new sets of silverware!

I found this Jolly Cook website for her which has a wide variety of recipes which she could try out and then present to her guests this coming weekend. It surely will be a good few days of cooking experiment for her!

What I like about Jolly Cook is that we could print out the recipes in print-friendly format. In fact, we could print out all of the recipes and compile a cookbook!

Sweet Graphic Freebies

While searching online for Restaurant City and Pet Society freebies, two games that I am currently playing for hours on end on Facebook, I stumbled upon this graphics and digital scrap booking freebies blog, Sweet Moon Graphics.

As you could see, I was not able to find freebies for my restaurant in Restaurant City or freebies for my pet in Pet Society, without participating in the Playfish forum but the freebies here on Sweet Moon Graphics are awesome.

Although it looks like this blog has not be updated for a month now, I browsed through the older posts and I assure you, there are many gems here for you so check it out right now!

Free Native American Recipes

My young cousin, now not so young anymore, is studying to be a chef. He’s lucky that his parents didn’t object to that! I love food too and in fact, run a recipe blog, which unfortunately is now at the moment but I am not as dedicated or passionate to want to become a professional cook.

Every chance I have, I will ask my cousin to cook something different for us. I thought of testing his cooking skills this time he comes home and found this website of Native American recipes for him to try out. I know that none of us here has been exposed to Native American dishes at all but at least, it would be something different and probably quite a challenge for my cousin to cook.

If you are looking for Native American recipes as well, hop over to NativeTech for their very comprehensive collection of Native American recipes. Free, of course!

GadgetLite Contest Giveaway

The author of GadgetLite sent me a message about a contest that’s running at the GadgetLite blog. Yes, you could do the same if you are running a contest, giving something awesome away, or know of a good deal or freebie on the web. But do use the Contact form instead of leaving a comment because those get sent to the Spam folder, which I never sieve through.

It looks like anyone could take part in this contest, anyone as in no matter which part of the world you are as long as you are a blogger or a blog reader.

The prizes given away in this round of contest (it looks like they have contests regularly) are:

Cyber Clean Cleaning Compound
iPhone 3G Wrappz and
2000 Entrecard credits

So how do you go about winning one of these prizes? That’s for you to find out by clicking on the link provided in this post. :)
