Queen Latifah has shined as the official spokesperson for Covergirl’s Queen Collection cosmetics since 2006. Hailed by the hip-hop world and by Hollywood, Queen Latifah first made a name for herself in 1989 with the groundbreaking hip-hop album All Hail the Queen, establishing herself as the first female rapper to become a bona fide star. In the years since, her popularity has transcended all forms of media, thanks to her crossover success in such hit films as Jungle Fever and Chicago, in which her role as Mama earned Queen Latifah both a Golden Globe and an Academy Award nomination. In 2004, the artist returned to her musical roots to release a jazz collection of standards entitled The Dana Owens Album, which included collaborations with Herbie Hancock and Al Green. This September’s Trav’lin’ Light will further showcase Queen Latifah’s musical talents and passion for jazz.

Win 100 CDs from The Celebrity Cafe

Image courtesy of The Celebrity Cafe

You know, it really is not easy to find contests that are willing to accept international entries. Being in Malaysia, I feel that those who are outside of the United States, or at least North America, have been missing out on a lot of goodies.

However, with FreebieLand and House of Freebies, it IS my job to scour the internet for them so that you do not have to! Just join and try to win while leaving the work to me. Easy peasy.

It is a delight for me to inform that you can win 100 CDs from The Celebrity Cafe by participating in their Banner Design contest. Do visit their website for various banner sizes.

Now, I really cannot imagine how heavy a hundred CDs will be but they do accept international entries so grab this chance. I would join to if only I could design and create to save my life.

Some years back, I won myself 25 CDs and boy, did I have a great time with those CDs. I am sure the winner of these 100 CDs will enjoy him/herself tremendously with exploring hours and hours or new music!

Lowest Unique Bid WINS! Beat This!

My friend showed me the website of Bid4Prizes. This contest runs on a reverse auction concept. While a normal auction is always won by the highest bidder, in Bid4Prizes, the person who has submitted a unique lowest bid will WIN!

This is actually not as simple as it sounds but rest assure, you will never pay a premium prize for your winning items since participants try to outdo each other by lowering the bid price.

Bid4Prizes is really generous in their prize range. There’s no doubt that the BMW 3 Series wins hands down as THE most desired prize to win!

There are two ways to participate in Bid4Prizes auctions for free; via SMS text or through the website. If you bid via SMS text, though, you will be charged by your cellular service provider. Unfortunately, this contest is only open to US residents. This is a fun concept. Can you imagine what would happen if they open up bidding to the world?
