I am sure you have read often enough my complaints that I am not creative at all and if I have the choice, I would prefer to use ready-made graphics, themes, clip art, etc that designers generously share with us on their websites and blogs.
However, I recently noticed a couple of friends using different userbars (350 X 19px graphic bars) on a forum that we hang out daily and I am sure that their unique userbars are not available for free. They told me that they designed the userbars themselves using Photoshop. Urgh, that’s the problem, I don’t even have Photoshop installed on my computer. If I have it, I wouldn’t even know how to use it!
Just now, I was introduced to a free online Userbar Designer which I could design my userbars right from my browser without having to install the program.
This is a free userbar generator but they have premium version at US$2 per month only as well which comes with greater features, including adding text mirror, drop shadow to text and animated multi-frame text .
Although there is a warning that this is a resource hungry application, my three-year-old system could still handle the design creation page smoothly. If you are using a free userbar that you downloaded from the web, it’s time to create your own. It’s free, after all!
