MyWay Photo Contests: Mother’s Day, Father’s Day & Graduation

A reader wrote to me to let me know of a photo contest that he came across. This photo contest is a collaboration between Fujifilm and Rite Aid Pharmacy so you can expect some really generous prizes up for grabs!

There are three categories in this photo contest; Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Graduation. Actually, this seasonal photo contest began on 1st May, 2010 but I am lazy and only managed to post this up today. Anyway, fret not. If you are interested, this contest ends on June 26, 2010 at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time so there is still plenty of time.

This contest is only open to legal residents of the United States or the District of Columbia who are 18 years old or older. I wonder, because these are “people” photo contest, if the entrants are required to obtain release letters from their “models”.

GREENIES® Show Us Your Smile Dog Contest

Although I no longer keep a dog because of awful experiences in the past, I still love dogs, a lot. I always look out for dog freebies or samples and most of all, dog photos that will always bring a smile to my face. My friend showed me this photo of a dog smiling and I smiled along with him. So cute, right?

If you have a dog, you can enter him or her into this GREENIES competition where you stand to win One year of free GREENIES® products plus have the photo of your dog on the cover of The Bark magazine, Sept. 2010 issue. It would surely be a proud moment for any pet owner!

In any case, all entrants will receive a free trial copy of The Bark so even if your dog does not receive enough votes to win the competition, at least you won’t be empty handed!

International Photography Contest 2008 for Kids

I have written on quite a number of photography competitions but if memory serves me right, this is the first time I am featuring a photography contest that is open for children only.

This international photography contest for kids is organized by National Geographic Society so you can expect high quality entries. However, according to the website, this is an international contest but as far as I could see, this contest is open to residents of the United States, Canada and a handful of international countries. To view a full list of qualifying countries, click HERE.

I think that thus contest will serve as a great platform for children who are interested in photography, or aspiring to be professional photographers. I wished that there were such exciting contests for me when I was a kid!
