Land O’Lakes Goodies

While surfing the internet this morning, I stumbled upon this website of Land O’Lakes, a food and agriculture company. I have never heard of this company before but I think that they have a very pretty interesting website. Here you can find recipes, tips and techniques to create better recipes, sign up with their website for free and stand a chance to win in their sweepstakes or receive freebies, newsletters and special offers.

Of course, being a food company, all these promotions are food related, which makes it a perfect website for mothers to check out. If you cook at home regularly, you could also obtain a meal idea or two from Land O’Lakes. You could also set up your recipe box here if you wish.

I have to say that Land O’Lakes offers so many exciting items related to food that I can’t possibly list them all out here. Check the site out yourself, ya!

Free Authentic Italian Recipes

There’s an “Italian” couple who lives nearby who runs an “Italian” restaurant in our city. I say “Italian” because the man is Italian but the wife is a lady from my hometown.

The funny thing is that the wife is the cook in the Italian restaurant and I was telling my mother, why should I go to their restaurant for Italian food when it’s not even an authentic Italian restaurant? I might as well cook my own “Italian” dishes, right?

So, I went online to search for some Italian recipes and found this real Italian recipes website called Olive Garden. If you are also looking to whip up some Italian food in your kitchen, you may want to check Olive Garden. There’s a good selection of Italian recipes that you could experiment with.

Free Latino Recipes

I started a recipe blog earlier this week and when I showed it to my friend, he asked me where I copied those recipes from. Hey, I did not copy them from anywhere but what I did was just transfer these recipes from my collection of recipes that I have collected through the years.

In my collection, I have plenty of recipe cards, recipe booklets and recipes that I have clipped from newspapers and magazines. I also have plenty of hand-written recipes that were passed down from my grandmother.

For the purpose of this post, I decided to look for a recipe website. For a change from the kind of recipes that are in my collection, I decided to check out something different which led me to the website of Goya Food Inc.

Here is one of the most comprehensive databases of Latino recipes. Gosh, just looking at the food photos has made me hungry! If you would like to try something different, check out the website of Goya. I am sure preparing them would be a challenge!

All Recipes, Free Recipes

Although I love cooking and baking, it is just too bad that I can no longer find time for this hobby. However, this does not stop me from collecting recipes in my online recipe box. I still remember a long time ago where I had to cut recipes out from newspapers and magazines and pasted them on foolscap paper!

A couple of weeks ago, I came across this recipe site called All Recipes. The difference between this recipe site and others that I stumbled upon so far is that real cooks contribute their recipes to All Recipes!

Registering yourself with All Recipes [membership is free] obviously has its benefits like recipe box and cook’s profile. However, if like me, you do not want to register because you have had enough of user IDs and passwords to remember, you can still obtain those recipes for free without hassle!

S&W Real Mayonnise Video Recipes

Although I love to cook, I find it increasingly hard to cook for pleasure. What I do now is to gobble up whatever food that is laid in front of me. I don’t have the time to enjoy food anymore due to work pressure and all the deadlines to meet.

However, the rare occasions will find me digging up old recipes to try out but I recently found free downloads of video recipes by S&W, the Australian [I think] manufacturer of Real Mayonnaise.

I could download these videos and sync them to my Apple iPhone can carry them with me. For people who prefer text recipes over video [visual for me anytime, please!], they can download all ten of these recipes in .pdf format.

Whatever you choose, I believe that you will enjoy these recipes like I did.

Free Printable Gift Tags & Cookie Recipes

Christmas is just less than a week away and I am sure many of us are busy wrapping up the gifts. I found this website of Crisco that has a full page of printable gift tags. They are so lovely, I just feel like printing them all out!!! These printable gift tags are suitable for Christmas, New Year, Valentine’s Day and also parties.

I think that if you are going to print them out, make sure that you are using good quality printing paper and ink that will not smudge. I use Dura-Brite ink that doesn’t smudge even if the newly printed paper has gotten wet.

On this website, besides these gift tags that you can print out for free as many as you wish (note: all of them have the Crisco logo), you can also find recipes of delicious cookies. Yummy!

Download Vegetarian Recipes

Earlier on in this blog, I have featured a few websites that gives free vegetarian recipes. I always thought that it would be a great idea to go on a pure vegetarian diet for a couple of days every week, just to give our system a break but I am not disciplined enough to see it through. It is also difficult to stick to a special diet individually when the other family members need their meat intake lol

Anyway, here is another website with allows us to download vegetarian recipes. On Vegie Delights, an Australian website, we can download selected recipes or download them all and create our very own collection of vegetarian recipes in this downloadable cookbook.

To be able to download the cookbook, though, we will have to provide our personal particulars like name, age, email address and also let them know how we heard of them. You can also opt in to their mailing list.
