The Freebie Source Directory

If you have been reading my blogs, you know I love freebies! It takes dedication to run not one but TWO freebies blog. I scour the internet for free stuff all the time and I get a kick when I am able to find something really rare to share with my readers.

Today, I did not discover any particular freebie but a site called The Freebies Source. This is a free stuff directory. I have always wanted to make a site like that but I don’t know how to do it and did not want to bother people to help me, hence the blogs.

I surfed through The Freebie Source and am happy to report there are many freebies and free samples which are all neatly categorized. So it’s easy to navigate the site to look for what you want.

Do check out the site because I am not going to post what goodies they have to offer!

Free Legal Advice And More

I previously wrote about a website that offers Free Legal & Insurance Advice. Well, here is another one. At The Law Dot Com, you can get free legal advice and discuss any legal matter with lawyers in the forum. You will also be able to download free legal forms and get free legal outlines on any legal issue.

If you have read the FAQs section and have discussed your issue at the forums and still not satisfied with the free advice given, you can locate a lawyer near you and get a free legal consultation as well, although I have been told that you would get a quicker response on the forums!

If you would like to find out the definitions of any specific legal term, check out TheLaw dictionary too.

I find this website really useful because I am sure that there is always a time in our lives where we need a little legal advice. This site allows us t throw our case open to be discussed by experienced lawyers and for free too! Check it out!

Free Online File Sharing Site

I recently have been rather stressed at work having to send out large chunks of files and my email client kept giving me errors until a friend recommended Driveway – Online File Sharing that is free to use.

One of the greatest advantages of using Driveway is that we could upload large files onto our driveway and that solves the problem of having a limit to our file sizes when we email. Even the best email programs have a cap on the file size and that make sit difficult to transmit large files. With Driveway, there is no such problem because the largest size that Driveway supports is 500MB and most of my files aren’t even close to that size!

After uploading the file, we can grab the link to it and then send it out for people to download the file. It just simplifies everything.

Driveway will see a lot of improved features in the near future and I am excited to see it develop more so that we will have our uploads protected.

Free HTML & CSS Tutorials

Can you imagine the amount of snubs I received when I virtually have to beg my friends to help me with my HTML and CSS codes? They say they have no time for me because I keep so many blogs and websites.

It used to be me searching for a solution when I come across a problem and usually find myself at the deep end and need someone to help me rectify my codes.

Today, I decided that I needed to learn the very basics of coding. If I wanted to learn, I might as well do it from the beginning. I knew such lessons are available online but did not know where so I went surfing and came across Draac.com

Draac.com offers tutorials for both HTML and CSS. After all, their tag line is “Building a better internet”. For people who are more adventurous, Draac.com also offers more advanced tutorials. There is a community board where one could ask any HTML questions and other members of the community would be glad to help out. It sure beats asking friends who can’t even spare a minute!

Let’s Kill Some Time

I don’t know about you but there are times when I have so much time on my hands I don’t know what to do. Since the internet is my new best friend, I seek out entertainment on various websites, either by playing games or watching videos from video sharing sites.

One of my latest discoveries is aptly titled Kill Some Time. Boy, do we have time to kill, sometimes! On this website, we can find funny videos, games and pictures plus jokes, flash animations, celebrity shots, audio clips and many more. But don’t worry; they are all neatly categorized either by type or latest media uploaded and also user-rated.

I love to check out media that are highly rated by fellow users. Media with a high rating is usually worth my time to check out. So many people can’t be wrong, can they?

What I am afraid of Kill Some Time is that it is quite addictive. I sometimes find myself spending too much time checking out the videos, and you know, videos need some time to load with my crappy connection!

Free Website Designer

You know, I bought a domain name in March and up until today, it is still not set up because I do not know how to set it up. I did ask a couple of friends but they don’t have time for me. One friend promised to look into it for me but it is now almost July and it is still a blank site.

So I decided that I do not want to wait any longer. I might as well take things in my own hand. I surfed the internet for ideas and free templates but found Free Site Designer instead.

According to the site, it is very easy to make my own customized template which I can then implement into my own site. I was so happy. I signed up and started to play around with it. It is said that Free Site Designer is so easy to use that no HTML knowledge is required.

Well, I did not manage to publish my design successfully. I was afraid that I would overwrite my existing blogs. Perhaps I would try when I have an independently hosted domain. What do you think?

Showcase Your Artwork On Warm Toast Cafe

I have always wanted to be an artist but unfortunately, I can’t draw to save my life. However, I have a couple of friends who are very talented and creative. They told me about this website called Warm Toast Cafe that is especially for artists, designers and everyone who is involved in the arts to sign up for free and showcase their creative work.

The landing page is very simplistic with a very clean yet interesting design. There are ten thumbnails of the most recently updated portfolios so that in one glance, one could see, by hovering the cursor over the image, which artists have uploaded new art to the website.

Warm Toast Cafe has a rather active forum where members chat about all things artsy fartsy. I think people who are involved in the arts should join websites like these so that they can easily showcase their work and gain attention.
