Free Photographs

I came across Free Foto when I was actively digging the internet for images that I would like to use for my personal website. My friend told me that I would have to MAKE my own images. Since I don’t know how to make any, I thought I would grab a free image.

Let me tell you, I found a lot of site that provide free photographs, which I will also feature at a later date. Today, I am showcasing Free Foto. This site allows us to use their photographs for free for private or commercial use. It is very important to know beforehand conditions of use so as not to get into trouble later. So for Free Foto, we can use them as we like to use provided that we use them “as is” and provide a link back to Free Fotos. This is, of course, not a bad deal at all if you ask me!

However, if you want to use these photos for a really large commercial project, then you may want to get the watermark off your photos. That means you will have to pay for it :)

Free Images From Image*After

You may have read that I spent a considerable amount of time looking for free images for my personal site. I am trying to find a “cover” for my site so it’s very important that I find something that projects “ME”. So far, I have yet to find that image that I think would be perfect for my personal site. I could of course commission someone to draw an image for me but I am a cheapo and I am sure you know that.

Anyway, I found this great site called Image*After that has a huge database of photos which we can use however we like, for personal or commercial use. The good thing to do, of course, is to provide a link back to the site if you use the images here.

One thing I noted is that Image*After is pretty lenient in their terms. We can do just about anything with these images EXCEPT set up a similar website as redistribute them. Don’t do it, OK!

Free Web Hosting

In the following few posts, I will be focusing on website freebies. It could either be free web hosting, free web template, free graphics, background, clip art or images for your personal and commercial use. This is because I am in the midst of constructing my personal website and I am too cheap to pay someone to do it or but my templates and images. So I have scoured the internet and hope to share these with my readers.

Free Store Design Offer

As an online store operator, I have searched all over the internet looking for a good store design. Visual appeal is also very important apart from the products that are being sold at the store or the shopping cart software that takes care of your sales.

The good news is that if you signing up for 24-months of Ashop’s award-winning ecommerce software, you will be eligible for a free custom store design courtesy of Ashop. Having a custom store design will make your store stand out from the crowd.

Just so you know, all successful ecommerce stores need a reliable shopping cart and after having tried out the shopping cart software for ten days for free, I am confident that Ashop’s ecommerce software would be able to meet all your ecommerce needs.

If you are not sure if Ashop will work for you, you can try it out for ten days and you will not even be required to provide your credit card information.

World Wildlife Fund Freebies

I first got to know of WWF when I was in primary school. A few people from this organization came to my school and gave away some goodies to students from an unfortunate background. I think they gave away school bags and shoes to the needy and postcards to all of us.

I also remember them teaching us the song called “The Elephant Song”. Well, I don’t know why they came to our school but I guess they have this wildlife awareness campaign for school children.

The other day, I came to the official website of WWF. They have a little freebie for us in the form of free e-cards which we could send out, all of which are based on animal or nature. They also have a Tiger Quiz to test our knowledge on tigers. And then there are free wallpapers and a game called “Caught in the act.”

Truly, conservation need not be boring and it would be great to introduce to young children.
