A friend told me about this site which offers plenty of party theme ideas. Now, I am not a very sociable person and hardly hold parties at home. I’d rather go to someone else’s party and leave all the work to the host, instead. Smart, huh? LOL
But I really like to look through these ideas, even if I may never host my own party, ever. I just like cute stuffs and imagine my house as cute as the photos shown on the website. Hehehe what’s the point though, when I try to avoid the work of throwing a party??

The Chinese New year holidays are over and regrettably, it means that I don’t get to sit around the table with my friends and cousins playing poker. Now, I am not a really sociable person in real life but this Chinese New Year has been extremely fruitful for me. I used to hate playing Poker because I always lose; as if the money I collected from hung bao isn’t meager enough! This year, I easily tripled my collection!
Obviously, my friends and family are surprised by my improved poker skills. They used to laugh at how I played, the wrong decisions I made, especially the guys. The guys think that poker is a male game, you see, and now, of course they felt threatened that I suddenly am so well-versed in poker rules and can play the game almost better than them!
I still put this down to luck – call me humble. I just don’t think that I can win all the time because I’m just now as good as I would like to be. I think I won a few rounds because my opponents were caught by surprise, that’s all. Whatever the reason, I am so thankful that I get to pick up my new poker skills just by playing online.
Of course, it isn’t the same playing online and offline but the games are almost similar and I get to ask silly questions when I play with virtual opponents. I don’t mind being laughed at as long as they don’t know who I am! Another good thing is that there are plenty of tutorials to read up on and even demo videos to see how a game is played.
Doing all these homework coupled with good luck will surely increase one’s winning chances in poker. And I always pray for weaker opponents! LOL Well, what do you think of my strategies?

I remember when I was a kid, my aunt bought my sister and I a box of “jewelry making kit”. We were very young then and all we knew was to string one bead after another, without actually planning. And we didn’t know how to secure the ends of our new necklace. As you can imagine, the necklace fell out time and again and our beads got fewer and fewer…

A cousin of mine will be coming over later today to celebrate the 15th day of the Chinese New Year. It’s called the Chinese Valentine’s Day. My cousin and I and a couple of her friends are all single so we will be wasting the night away playing all sorts of games to amuse ourselves.
I can’t wait to show off my new poker skills. Of course I wouldn’t let them know where or how I acquired my new skills within such a short time but the secret lies in free online poker where I played diligently over the past few months to get ready for Chinese New Year where gambling is the common activity when a bunch of Chinese people get together. I don’t want to be embarrassed yet again. Obviously, I don’t want to lose my hung bao money again!

Of course, you would need to set up an account but before you commit yourself to your game, make sure you have the interest to learn the game first. Don’t worry, though. I like it that online poker rooms are like the real rooms that we see in a casino. Really, you don’t even need to travel to play your favorite game. It’s all at your fingertips, at home! What is good for me is that I need not be embarrassed about losing a game, especially when cards are in my favor. And I can always ask questions about the game, even if they may sound silly to some. That’s the advantage of playing with strangers!

Since using smart phones three years ago, I no longer read a book. I do, however, keep a couple of books on my phone to read when I commute.
