Free Download & Print Paper Craft

I was quite lucky to stumble upon this blog called Lolly Chops. The writer has so kindly offered a variety of printable crafts for us to download, print and fold accordingly. There are many items available from gift packaging, gift tags, gift paper, note cards, recipe cards, labels, tags, etc, just to name a few.

All of these are original designs created by the author herself and I am so envious of her creativity! If I could do this half as well as her, I would be very happy. Still, I feel very happy just browsing through the stuff that are available here.

Do keep in mind though that these are all printer ink intensive! If you are going to print these out, you may as well invest on good quality paper and ink so that you don’t waste your resources. Enjoy!

Free Portrait Illustration Maker

I was just hopping from one website to another when I came across a mention of Portrait Illustration Maker. I don’t even recall which site mentioned it but I was curious enough to check it out. I am so glad that I did!

What Portrait Illustration Maker does is simple enough. You just mix and match their huge selection of skin colour, hairstyle, mouth, eyes, hand, eyewear, background, etc, to create your very own personalized avatar that you could use on our blog or website.

Actually, this isn’t something new if you have play some games before. The only game that is similar to this that I could think of right now is Sorority Life, which I play on Facebook. Anyway, if you are creating your own avatar with Portrait Illustration Maker, perhaps you would like to share your end result with us!

Quality iPhone Apps For Free

After a long hiatus from playing around with my iPhone and the vast array of apps, especially free iPhone apps, I had the chance to mess around with my iPhone over the long Spring Festival holiday and discovered some pretty neat iPhone apps from this developer whose website is called “Free The Apps”.

Right now, there six free iPhone apps in their inventory and I have downloaded and played with a few of them already. I find them all very useful but most importantly, very easy to use. If you know me, you would know that I am not a very technical person and I don’t like to face challenges. I would rather uninstall the app! LOL

Anyway, if you are in the mood to play with iPhone apps, you should check out the quality apps that “Free The Apps” has to offer.

Download Green Minimalist Icon Set

I have been searching all over the web for icon sets that I could incorporate in my iPhone skins that I am building. Some icon sets are only for personal use so I couldn’t make use of them. Don’t get me wrong, my iPhone skins are also free to download but I am not sure if personal use means that I am not supposed to distribute them in a different form.

Anyway, in my search, I chanced upon this really neat green icon set. It is in minimalist style and very clean looking. The best this is that from what I understand, we can use this icon set on the web or even in apps. I think I can use them in my iPhone skin too.

If you are going to use this, perhaps you can drop a comment here to let me know what you are using it for!

Win Hitachi X-TEND External Drive

As a web mistress and an avid photographer, I run out of hard disk capacity pretty quickly. It seems that no matter how large my hard disks are, they fill up pretty quickly. Perhaps another contributing factor is all the files that I download.

Well, if you are like me and if you live in Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand or India, this is a chance for you to win a Hitachi X-TEND external drive. I did not notice what capacity the prize will be (let’s hope for 500GB!) but this is a lucky draw. As long as you play and complete the simple matching game within the stipulated time frame, you would be eligible to participate.

From what I could tell, daily winners are determined via a lucky draw so virtually everyone stands an equal chance of winning. I hope I win too!

Free Chinese New Year Desktop Wallpapers

Chinese New Year is this14th February and you know, I believe no adult looks forward to it because everything costs so much more. Moreover, married people would have to give out red money packets to single relatives and children. Worse, if your red money packet is small, you would lose respect from the kids!!

Anyway, here is something that I found for Chinese New Year that is absolutely free. These are Chinese New Year desktop wallpapers that are available for free download. Unfortunately for this coming Chinese New Year which is the Year of the Tiger, there is only one wallpaper that is suitable to be used. Luckily, it’s nice enough. Just click on the Download button to grab it.

Even though at this point there is only one Year of the Tiger Chinese New Year desktop wallpaper, it is a good idea to bookmark this website so that you can come back the following years. There is at least one for each year of the Chinese animal horoscope!

Stories For My Little Sister

While browsing for freebies, I as supposed to look for free banners for a website that I am planning to set up with a friend, I stumbled upon this pretty unique website for children. It is called “Stories For My Little Sister” and is a website that contains downloadable original stories written by an older sister for her younger sister who loves to draw. Unique, eh?

I don’t have children of my own yet so I haven’t downloaded any of the stories available here on this website but I am surely going to let my friends, who are young mothers, know about it so that they can download these stories with colourful drawings for their children.
