Free Slideshow Maker

Some of you may know that I participated in Exabyte’s Snap & Win Contest lately to try to win the prize of a Canon EOS 1000D DSLR camera. I took some photos of valid URLs from magazines lying around the house and submitted them but I am just not happy with the shots.
Over the weekend, I surfed around for free tools to enhance my entry to the contest and found this PhotoSnack slideshow maker, a fuss free website that allows us to upload our photos and turn them into a slideshow by selecting one of the preset layouts.
Uploading photos can be a pain. It took me almost half a day just uploading twenty odd images because I had to do it one by one; but I have to admit that the size of my images contributed to the speed. However, the finished result is awesome especially when viewing my slideshow on my new 20in widescreen LCD monitor. Check it out here:
PhotoSnack is highly customizable and what I like is that if you make changes to your slideshow, it will automatically be reflected in your slideshow that you have embedded on your blog or other social sites. You don’t have to embed a new script or make manual changes.
By the way, I will be updating my slideshow with new photos from time to time before the close of the contest and this is going to be my new entry to Exabyte’s Snap & Win Contest! Wish me luck!

Hello,
Thank you for the review!
You can upload more photos at once, using the shift or control key. However the upload can take a while. My advice is to downsize your photos for the web. Since you have a 1000D – 10MP – uploading photos at 30-50% of the original size would do for any practical reasons.
…Unless you’re using the 27″ mac hehe.
Best regards,
Darius

Darius,
Thanks for dropping by.
I don’t have the Canon 1000D DSLR (am trying to win it in a contest) but it and the 27in Mac are definitely on my Christmas wishlist. Hehe!
Regards,
Emily
