I was searching for GIF files of fireworks for some blog posts this morning and I chanced upon these from Free Fever. These are free and we are allowed to download and use on non-commercial projects. I don’t know what happened but I was not able to use these GIF files somehow, so I deleted my downloaded files.
However, if you are looking for GIF firework files as well, do check out this selection from Free Fever. I am sure you would be able to find some use for them seeing that it’s New Year’s Eve today and there will be lots of little web projects to do to usher in the New Year, right?

We’re closing the year of 2008 soon and even if you do not buy anything new for the New Year of 2009, do you notice that the thing that you must have new every year is the calendar? For as long as I could remember, I have never bought any calendars at all because I get mine all free from companies doing promotions.
This would be good news for you if you also love free calendars. This is not just any plain calendar, mind you. It’s the free 2009 calendar from Nothing But Hotties. Yes, Nothing But Hotties have their very own calendar but don’t worry, there’s nothing NSFW about their calendars as they are tastefully done.
The calendars are limited to one per household in the United States, Canada, and European Union. Luckily you, if you are in these countries! Get them quick as freebie offer is valid only while stocks last!

I know that we are past Christmas already. Even though this post is late, when in the first place, I ever had the intention to write anything about it at all, until a friend says that she absolutely loves the Christmas icons that I used for her Christmas cards, that I thought that i should make a post on where I got these free Christmas icons from.
So, even though this post is late for Christmas 2008, you could still use them for Christmas 2009, right? I may not be good with Photoshop and with these vectors, I only use them “as is”, if you know a little design, you could spruce them up and they would still be fresh for next Christmas.
Anyway, Web Design Wall has these for free download and many more free Christmas icons for the use on websites, print projects and even as favicons. They are all free and you could use them on your personal or commercial projects BUT you cannot sell them or distribute them.

Although I had never been a huge fan of MSN messenger, I have to admit that I became a fan when they upgraded it to Windows Live Messenger and I totally heart Windows Live Mail. Of course, the suite of Windows Live products includes more than just the Messenger or Mail.
Today, while searching for freebies, I chanced upon this website of Windows Live Freebies where we could download lots of freebies to enhance our Messenger, desktop and other Windows application.
In conjunction with the holiday season, there are many more holiday-themed freebies for download so you may want to check them out. Merry Christmas to you and may all the blessings on Earth be showered upon you!

Earlier this morning, I have the luck to stumble upon the website of Polstitches Designs. Of all the needle craft work, I used to like cross stitch the most. Perhaps it was the easiest for me to do but even so, I know that my stitches were wrong but I didn’t care. As long as the picture that I was cross stitching appeared on the front, I was very happy.
One problem back then was that whenever I ran out of a colour thread, I would substitute it with another thread of similar shade. I know, I spoilt the picture but I was just a kid. LOL
If you are looking for free cross stitch designs, Polstitches Designs has a good selection for you to download. I do not know how complete these freebie packs are, if they come with a printable chart and thread numbers but it’s worth checking out.

I am sure you are familiar with Apple’s iTunes program. Well, they have a free track weekly if you download and install the iTunes program. This week, in the spirit of Christmas, they are giving away a free download of Faith Hill’s O Holy Night.
Honestly speaking, I do not enjoy listening to festive music as much as I do listening to other genres. Festive or seasonal songs like these give me goose bumps but if you would like a free Christmas song, particularly one that is by Faith Hill, go download it from iTunes! It’s free but you must have an account with iTunes.
Enjoy!
