I stumbled upon the official Olympics website of the Australian Olympics team for Beijing 2008. They are giving away a very beautiful official pin in conjunction of the event but you must sign up for their regular newsletter.
I did not sign up for the newsletter just to get my hands on the pin. I am not an Australian so I will just give the chance to Australians to get hold of the pin. From what I read, the pin is really more beautiful than shown on the website.
So if you want this pin, sign up early before stocks run out.
Thanks for the tip. I was able to attend the Olympics in Utah as a volunteer, and the promotional lapel pins were a hot commodity. These lapel pins became very collectible, and there was some pin trading going on, similar to the the lapel pin collecting at Disney World.
